“Shampooing three or four times a week is plenty,” says Nick Arrojo, owner of New York’s Arrojo Studio and former stylist on TLC’s reality makeover show What Not To Wear.
The sulfates and sulfides in regular shampoo can strip hair of its natural oils and creating dull, frizzy, unmanageable hair. So when it comes to shampoo, less is definitely more! Of course everyone’s hair is different. If you have shorter or fine hair washing every other day is a good call. For ladies with long, thick, curly, or processed hair every three to four days is more than enough. On the days that you aren’t shampooing it is ok to rinse your hair lightly with warm or cool water, NEVER HOT, and if you must put something in your hair consider a light conditioner.Happy styling!
